ABOUT THE STATION
Mission Statement:

The mission of the Pricetown Fire Department shall be the preservation of life and protection of property from loss by fire or any other man-made or natural disaster which may occur in the Pricetown area and vicinity.

Todays Pricetown Vol Fire Department was constructed in October of 1977. We operate two engines, one tanker, and one brush truck. We provide coverage to roughly 7,000 people in our immediate response area. Our response area covers the unincorporated communities of Pricetown, Camden, Sunset acres, Waldeck, Camden Station, Alum Bridge, and Churchville. We have single and multi family dwellings, Industrial sites, commercial buildings, churches and we cover a vast portion of US-33 West. In addition we provide mutual aid assistance to surrounding Lewis county departments to places such as residential houses, high rise buildings, commercial buildings, Stonewall Hospital, Leading Creek Elementary School, additional stretches of US-33, and ten miles of I-79. The department responds to between 250 and 300 calls per year. These range from residential and commercial fire alarms, structure fires, vehicle wrecks, EMS assists, brush fires, storm damage, and more. We also perform weekly training to help refine and expand our knowledge at the station and send our members to training events around the state.

Ever year, with the assistance of the Weston Walmart, we hold our annual Santa run annually starting around the beginning of December. We start by shopping for children in need at Walmart then return back to our station and begin to wrap and sort the gifts for Christmas eve where we enlist the help of Santa. He hops a ride with us and delivers gifts to the good boys and girls of Lewis county. Names of the children are provided by elementary schools.

Fire Prevention and education is provided to Leading creek elementary school and where ever else we may be requested to. We are invested in the education of the next generation to help promote a safer world for all of us.
